Election Information
The City of Loretto administers city, state and federal elections for its residents on even years. The odd year school district elections are administered by each school district. City staff are available to answer your questions about polling places, voter registration, absentee voting, and other election information.
For city run elections (even years) Loretto residents vote at City Hall, located at 279 North Medina Street, in the Council Chambers. For odd year school district elections, check with the Delano School District for all voting information.
If you voted in the last election and haven't moved or changed your name, you should be pre-registered to vote in this year's elections. It's easy to check if you're registered - go to the Secretary of State's website, scroll down and click on "Check my registration".

Here you will find information about how to REGISTER TO VOTE, FINDING YOUR POLLING PLACE or CAUCUS LOCATION, ELECTION DATES, and ABSENTEE VOTING. There is a wealth of information and it is a very user-friendly website.
2026 ELECTION INFORMATION
State Primary Election - August 11th, 2026
Absentee voting begins June 26th. When voting by absentee, voters must fill out an application to receive their ballot, then use the envelope process to complete their voting activity.
Early voting begins July 24th. When voting during the Early Voting Period, voters must still fill out an application to receive their ballot, then after voting will feed their ballot directly into the ballot counting machine.
Election Day is August 11th. The polls will be open from 7am - 8pm.
