Loretto

The City of Loretto is located in the Pioneer-Sarah Creek Watershed.  The surface area of yards, open land, streets, sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots are all watershed areas.  These areas collect water from rain, snow, yard sprinkling, car washing etc.  This water runs off the surface and makes its way into our local ground water, streams, lakes and marshes.  Whatever we allow on these surfaces (ex: fertilizer, ice melt, drain oil etc.) eventually ends up in our water.
